Q. How have you changed since you were in AQUA?

A. I think I've grown enormously from when I sung "Barbie Girl". Since I departed from AQUA, I became alone and had to stand on my own feet, always working effectively to have a lot of people enjoy the music I made. So I developed a resolute manner. It means
you got no other way but grow up, doesn't it? Now for the first time I can call myself an "adult woman" - at times, at least. And I'm very proud of AQUA that set up 20 million records.

Q. Was pursuing your solo career a challenge?

A.
It was odd feeling at the start, for I had been acting in AQUA for as long as eight years. At first I was so anxious, 'cause I haven't used to get into a lot of studios with many different songwriters and producers. But it gave me lots of strength and self-confidence. And, I had to show my ability all the time - to write the music and words, - and show there's something I can do with my voice - to prove myself that I'm not only a brassy-voiced pop-band-turned-singer.

Q.  Have your vocals changed because of the solo album?

A.
I could do more tries on this album than those of AQUA. I can put out various voices. I sang some like soul, some were smoothly, and some were like rock, which is my favourite. Better drop a little whiskey in your voice - just in voice, not in throat! - and put in your feeling when you sing, and it's important to feel the lyric, too.

Q.  Would you explain the music style of this album?

A. I thought it was important to put all my desires into this album. And I thought what can put all the stuff together is the energy, and guitar, and my vocals. I believe when you put Lene's music on, you can feel me there. I went
to a lot of studios - LA, New York, Sweden, and Norway - and I believe I picked up many tunes- You will see once you listen the album. I can say it's exciting album that you can't predict what stars next.

Q.  What kind of music do you listen often?

A. I love the energy of guitar. I listen to Life House and Linkin Park often. But I was raised on classical music, so I love them too - I listen to every genre. It's important not to be prejudiced, isn't it? So, to the
people who say they only like one band, I want to say "Have a broader mind!"

Q. Was the making of video for the single "It's your duty" interesting?

A. It was most exciting time in this 2 years. I had kept in studios for about a year, so my energy was overstocked and almost exploding when I make the video. I assure you would find me sparkling on it. And it's bit more naughty and sexy than previous ones - the making was exiting at that point, too - Because everyone required me for sexy video. I wasn't so enthusiastic for it, but after I met stylist and director and heard "You got nice figure, you must show it while you can." So I gave them OK. We made a compromise. We made a good video, in which I had had enjoyable time. We made the video that is strong, confident, and in a way womanly, and I have shown my own personality on it. The video reflects me, but also the music does as well. It shows what my music sounds like, so I think it makes good introduction for the album.
