Note: The first couple song
descriptions are not mine, except for the comments in italics.
"Eye to Eye" some guitars sounding like Dire Straits and a total reaggae
feeling. Absolutley the song for this summer beach parties. It is like a
Baccardi song.
"Mind Like a Tree" a real metal rhythm like "China white" and a very heavy
guitar riff. The atmosphere during this song is ominous and menacing.
If "Stairway to Heaven" was parallel to "We'll Burn the Sky", then
"Kashmir" is parallel to "Mind Like a Tree".
"Priscilla" An easy swinging midtempo rocker which reminds on "Arizona"
from the album "Blackout"
"To Be Number One" The most exotic song on this album. The intro sounds
funky and at the beginning the Vocals sounds like Prince (TAFKAP) but
suddenly exploding in a hard guitar riff. Further this song contains some
great voice box effects. This is probably the most experimental song ever
recorded by the Scorpions. This is definitely an odd Scorpions song,
more of an electronica-pop-metal song. The video is a take-off from the
Bill Clinton-Monica Lewinski conflict.
"Mysterious" a little kind of Blues-feeling and a typical Scorpions
rhythm. The Hammond tones make this song sounding a little like Deep
Purple somehow.
"Yellow Butterfly" Another dark sounding heavy rock song like "China
White." But with lot of details, interesting tones and a more
dramatic structure.
"Obsession"
"Alleah"
"Sky Writer"
"A Moment In a Million Years"
"What You Give, You Get Back"
"Zeitgeist"
