REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ISSUANCE OF LEGAL CAPACITY FOR PURPOSES OF MARRIAGE TO A NON-FILIPINO

   A.  ORIGINAL BIRTH CERTIFICATE

 

  B.   AUTHENTICATED CERTIFICATE OF NO RECORD OF MARRIAGE

            Steps in obtaining the Authenticated Certificate:

 

                          1.   It can be obtained from the National Statistics Office (NSO).

                          2.    The NSO Certificate must be brought to Legal Office, Office of the President, Malacanang.

                          3.    After Malacanang, bring the document to Authentication Division of the Consular Office, Department of Foreign Affairs.

 

       If the applicant has been previously married he/she must submit authenticated Death Certificate of deceased spouse or judicial decree of annulment/nullity of marriage to his previous marriage.

 

 C.  PASSPORT COPY OF THE APPLICANT SECURING THE CAPACITY

   

 D.  LEGAL CAPACITY OF TO BE SPOUSE (Alien)

 

V.    PICTURES OF BOTH APPLICANTS (1 picture each, passport size)

 

 

 

REQUIREMENTS OF MARRIAGE BETWEEN FILIPINOS TO BE SOLEMNIZED AT CONSULAR SECTION

 

SUBMISSION BY THE TWO CONTRACTING APPLICANTS:

 

 A.  ORIGINAL BIRTH CERTIFICATE

 

  B.   AUTHENTICATED CERTIFICATE OF NO RECORD OF MARRIAGE

            Steps in obtaining the Authenticated Certificate:

 

                          1.   It can be obtained from the National Statistics Office (NSO).

                          2.    The NSO Certificate must be brought to Legal Office, Office of the President, Malacanang.

                          3.    After Malacanang, bring the document for authentication to Authentication Division, Consular Office, Department of Foreign Affairs.

 

       If the applicant has been previously married he/she must submit authenticated Death Certificate of deceased spouse or judicial decree of annulment/nullity of marriage to his previous marriage.

 

 C.  PASSPORT COPY OF BOTH APPLICANTS

 

 D.  In case the applicant is between the ages of 18 and 21, concerned applicant must submit parental consent in the form of affidavit  and attested before a local registrar where the applicant is residing in the Philippines or before a notary public.  If the applicant is between the ages of 21 and 25, he/she must submit parental advice in the form of affidavit  attested before a local registrar where the applicant is residing in the Philippines or before a notary public.

 

  E.   PICTURES OF BOTH (1 picture each, passport size)
