Grades and policies
The grading system will be based on the following criteria:
20% - Assignment
30% - Midterm test
50% - Final exam
· No late assignments will be accepted without documentation of a medical or family emergency. An assignment is late if it has not been handed in by the end of the day on which it is due.
· Students are encouraged to work together on homework assignments, but each student who does so must note on their assignment the names of everyone they worked with.
·
Minimum attendance requirement will be 80% of the total
meetings. Those whose attendance is less than 80% will automatically be
withdrawn from the course and, therefore, should not consider sitting the
final test.
