A WORST OF THE WORST DOUBLE FEATURE BY JOE D'AMATO!!!
Today's movies kiddies, are EROTIC NIGHTS OF THE LIVING DEAD and PORNO HOLOCAUST. Never before have zombie sex films been so blatantly exploitative or so badly made...
After seeing these two movies, I think Joe D'Amato should be given the most improved award... I mean BURIED ALIVE is no oscar nominee but it was pretty cool and a 1000 times better than these two. But being early movies in his career, I guess everybody has to start somewhere.
Now neither of these movies is in English or subtitled, but still I don't think it would have been any better if I could understand the characters. These movies are very rare, and now I know why, and this rarity leads to rather bad prints. Not that they don't look like homemovies in the first place.
The stories too both are kinda similair, lots of '70s porno type sex, seemingly at random. Then come the zombies...
In Porno Holocaust, the zombies have big Jimmys and do the women before they kill (and the women seem to enjoy it more than with the living guys). In Erotic Nights, there are more zombies and a bit more action which I found made it the more enjoyable of the two...
If you are a Joe D'Amato fan though, these movies do deliver the Joe D'Amato goods, albeit in a very crude form; Lotsa XXX sex. And the reason I have these as a double feature is that if you want to see these because you are the D'Amato fan, watch 'em both back to back in the same night and get it over with!!!!!
