- On the walls of Egyptian tombs (12) is shown
how such jars were brought to the storehouse of Pharaoh, full of
the goods of the conquered Canaanites; the clay sealings of the
jars are in place, and sometimes hieroglyphs beside the pictures
describe the contents, 'honey', 'honeyed wine', 'incense', 'olive
oil', etc.
