Holiday Specials

The word holiday comes from an Old English word, haligdaeg, which means "holy day". Starting from today (31/1/2003), this website aims to celebrate all the different holidays around the world to keep them alive. However, in order for this project to be successful, your participation is required. I do not know all the holidays that exist in detail, nor do I know how different countries may celebrate the same holiday. You can suggest a holiday and/or provide information, stories and pictures. If all goes well, people from around the world will not only have a better idea about the different occasions, but may learn to treasure them as well.
