Son Gokou

Son Gokou (Goku) is a member of the Saiyajin race. The Saiyajins are said to be an evil race whom only desires in life are blood, death and chaos. The saiyajins also are "planet brokers" they will go to a planet, kill all the life on the planet, then sell it to a customer. Gokou was the child sent to destroy all life on Earth, but something went wrong. When Gokou was a young child, his adopted father (Gohan) accidentally dropped Gokou down a cliff (Gokou was actually the cause of the dropping). During this fall, Gokou hit his head with tremendous force against the floor of the canyon. This caused Gokou to forget his "mission" (to destroy all life) and become a happy, normal child. When Gokou was born he was very weak for a Saiyajin, his power level was only 2. Gokou went through martial arts training on Earth and he was about as strong as Piccolo. Gokou then died in a fight with his brother (who he did not know about) Radditz. Gokou went to Kaio-Sama's planet at the end of Snake Way in the afterworld where Kaio-Sama trained him and he became extremely strong. Gokou is strongest of the Saiyajin, excluding his son Gohan and Brolli the legendary Super Saiyajin. Son Gokou is the first to supass all Super Saiyajin Levels; one, two, three, and four.

Son Gohan

Son Gohan is the son of Son Gokou and Chi-Chi and he obviously has the Saiyajin blood in him. Son Gohan (that was Son Gokou's step grandfather's name) recieved his first serious martial arts training from Piccolo through some very tough training which required him to survive by himself in the wild and fight against Piccolo. This training made Son Gohan quite strong and was the first step to revealing Son Gohan's hidden powers. When Gohan gets angry, his power level sky-rockets and even when he hadn't undergone any training, it shot up to 1,400. Once Son Gohan reaches his adolescent years, all he has to do is get angry enough, and he can defeat anyone. This is how Gohan became the first to become Ultimate Super Saiyajin. Son Gohan is also a great fan of Piccolo and Son Gohan is pretty much Piccolo's only "friend." Son Gohan becomes a student at Orange Star High School and the Great Saiya-man (a hero). He also becomes Videl's husband.

Son Goten

Son Goten is the second son of Son Gokou and Chi-Chi and Son Gohan's little brother. Son Goten and Trunks spend most of their time together, and are good friends. Trunks is a year older than Son Goten. Son Goten exibited a high power when he went super saiyajin at the age of seven. Goten bears a very strong similarity to Son Gokou. He has the same hair that Son Gokou has, he also wears a miniture version of Son Gokou's karate Gi. Goten is usually happy, but has a speciality for throwing tantrums which get him something he wants. It worked on Videl. ^_^

Chi-Chi

Chi-Chi is mother of Son Gohan and Son Goten and wife of Gokou. She feels very strongly about Gohan's study and will stop at almost no bounds to get him to continue studying. She even threatened Gokuu by saying that she would not give him any food if he did not come to and act politely at a school they were trying to get Gohan into. Chi-Chi want Son Gohan to be a scholar, and later on the series Gohan becomes a scholar at orange Star High School. Chi-Chi's father is Ox-King and I don't have the slightest idea who her mother is. I don't think she was ever mentioned. Chi-Chi also thinks that maritial arts are a waste of time (but Son Gohan never stops fighting villians through the series, Son Gohan is also known as Saiya-man). Chi-Chi is very fond of Videl and she wants Gohan to marry her. Chi-Chi is also a little uptight about what Gohan can have as a pet. She wouldn't let him have the Haiya dragon! ^_^ When Chi-Chi shops she buys a lot. Gohan suggested it was to relieve stress, but it didn't seem that way to me! She is also very concerned for Gohan's safety, but apperently not that much for Gokou's.

Krillin

Krillin (Kuririn) is a great character. He is extremely funny. Kuririn is not a Saiyajin and he is not powerful enough to be one. He is, however quite strong for an Earthling (in fact, he's the strongest Earthling). Kuririn has no nose (for reasons which are beyond me), which is replaced by six burn marks on his forhead. Kuririn is also very short. He is a little taller taller than baby Gohan. Kuririn is bald as a pinto-ball. As Gokou puts it quite nicely, "Your head looks like a pinto-ball." Kuririn does not get along with Piccolo very well, mainly because Piccolo does not like him. Kuririn is a good friend of Gokou's. Kuririn wants to be the worlds first martial artist-singer. Although, Kuririn sings like a washing machine stuck that's trying to finish its load. His singing is so bad it even got Vegeta to leave the area. When Gokou first met Kuririn (in the comic, when they were both kids) Gokou was astounded to find out that Kuririn had the amazing ability to distinguish men from women just by looking at them ^_^. That is an extremely funny sense.

Bulma

Bulma is Trunks' mother and Vegeta's wife. She is a genius with mechanics and computers. She was the one that first figured out the scouters. During DragonBall and the beginning of DragonBall Z, Bulma had a very strong crush on Yamacha, but she overcame it and married Vegeta. Bulma is so good with electronics that she actually made a device which helped Vegeta go to Super Saiyajin 4. Bulma has blue hair and is about normal height. She was also the second character to come into DragonBall. Although Bulma has not actually fighting strengh, her knowledge of technology makes her a great ally.

Vegeta

Vegeta is prince of the Saiyajins and one of the most powerful Saiyajins. When Vegeta was a young, he surpassed his fatherıs power level despite his age. Vegeta had dreamed of being the most powerful of the Saiyans and being the legendary Super Saiyajin. He knew that there were other, more powerful races, but he would be the best of all the Saiyajins. Vegeta makes his first appearence with his partner, Nappa. Vegeta comes to Earth with Nappa and they wreak havoc, destroying buildings, and kill people. Nappa also does a number on the Z fighters (who were very weak at the time). Once Gokou gets back from Kaio-Sama's place, he makes short work of Nappa who is then killed by Vegeta. Vegeta challenges Gokou after Gokou refuses to fight on his side. They fight and it becomes evident that Gokou is more powerful, this pisses Vegeta off, and he eventually goes Oozaru and kicks the crap out of Gokou (if you are new to Dragon Ball, Gokou could not go Oozaru because he had his tail cut off). Eventually, Vegeta becomes closer and closer to Gokou's side. Vegeta is always angry at not being as strong as Gokou. Vegeta has married Bulma and is father to Trunks. Vegeta has always been a recluse like Piccolo.

Trunks

Trunks is the only child of Vegeta and Bulma. He likes to hang out with Son Goten and they are kind of like brothers. Trunks reached Super Saiyajin when he was eight. When he and Son Goten are together, Trunks has a tendency to get them in trouble. Trunks is also sad that he does not have a brother like Goten does. I do not know much about Trunks' relationship with his parents. Trunks has purple hair, and I think he is the only character is DragonBall who doesnıt have strange looking hair. Despite Trunks' ability to get himself and Goten into trouble, he means well. Future/Mirai Trunks is the Trunks from the future. In Future/Mirai Trunks' future, all heros excluding him were killed by Andriods #17 and #18. He came to the past to save Gokou from heart disease within 1 year with the medicine from the future. He is also the Saiyajin who kill Freezer and King Cold.

Piccolo

Piccolo is a cool guy. He is the evil half of Kami-sama and he used to fight with Gokou a lot. But once Radditz arrived on Earth, Piccolo and Gokou teamed up. In the end, Piccolo shot a special beam cannon at Radditz, who couldn't dodge it because Gokou was holding him. The only reason that Piccolo fought with Gokou was because he was evil. After Piccilo and Gokou teamed up to defeat Radditz (and Garlic Jr.) they slowly became more and more of a team (much like what happened with Vegeta. When the threat of more Saiyajins was present (Nappa and Vegeta) Piccolo took it upon himself to train Gohan. Piccolo was the one who really took the first step to revealing Gohan's hidden powers. Piccolo has also saved Gohan many times. Piccolo's special attacks are the Bukujutsu, Chobakuretsumaha, Eye Beam, Fusion, Gekitotsu Buu Buu Volleyball, Kakusanyudokodan, Kyodaika, Makankosappo, Mystic Attack, Renzoku Energy Dan, Shogekiha, and the Tsuihidan.

Tien

Tien(Tenshinhan) is an Earthling warrior. He is about Gokou's height and is pretty muscular. Tien has 3 eyes. He has two normal eyes, and then one stranger looking eye on the top of his head. It is kind of triangular. Tien are good friends with Chao-zu. He is about equal in strength with Yamacha, so Kuririn is still stronger than him. As far as I know, Tenshinhan does not have a girl friend or any other relations. He does not make many appearences in the DBZ movies.

Yamacha

Yamacha is one of the few Earthling warriors in Dragon Ball. He is good friends with a shape-shifting cat name Puel. When Yamacha first met Gokou, they fought because Gokou would not pay the tax for crossing the desert which Yamacha "owned" (I think). Anyway, Yamacha was one of the people who lost his life fighting against Vegeta and Nappa, but of course he was wished back with the DragonBalls. Bulma has a huge crush on Yamacha. Bulma of course, being moody as she is, sometimes hates Yamacha, but then she always realizes she loves him in the end. Yamacha has an x-like scar on his left cheek.

Videl

Videl is Son Gohan's girlfriend and assistant. Son Gohan taught Videl how to fly and fight (although she cannot manipulate energy, she is more powerful than Mr. Satan). Videl is Gohan's assistant while he is the Great Saiyaman, but I donıt know what alias she goes by. Chi-Chi wants Videl to marry Gohan and does not hide her intentions. Videl is also in the same high school class as Son Gohan From the DBZ movies Iıve seen (all of them) I gather that Videl is not aware of energy manipulating techniques.

Mr. Satan

Mr. Satan is the most renouned martial artist on earth. He has been given credit for killing some of the monsters that Gokou and the Z fighters have killed and most Earth-people think of him as invincible. Mr. Satan has a very strange shaped hair style on his chin, which I don't think ever changes. He is usually wearing a maroon jacket. Mr. Satan is incredibly weak compared to the Saiyajins, Kuririn, Yamacha, Choa-zu, Piccolo, Tenshinnan, but he is the strongest human who does not know how to manipulate energy (or so Iıve gathered). Mr. Satan is also kind of a step-grandfather to Pan-Chan.

Pan

Pan is Gokou's granddaughter. Pan is the most powerful female in all of DragonBall. She is also a kind of adopted granddaughter to Mr. Satan. Pan makes her first appearence in the first episode of DragonBall GT. Pan is about 11 or so. She wants to be an adult and hates being treated like a little kid. For example, despite the fact that she hates offee she drinks it because she thinks it makes her look more adult. She wears a red bandanna. She is 1/4 Saiyajin, she is Gohan and Videl's daughter. She does not seem to resent it. Pan also refuses to refer to Trunks as Trunks-san (that's just a basic form of respect for elders), she will only call him Trunks. Pan is also very adventurous and can get into trouble a lot (kind of like chibi Trunks, eh? ^_^).

Bra

Bra is Bulma and Vegeta's daughter. She has some potential as the daughter of Vegeta, she is never trained, thus she is one of the weakest characters in the series. Out of all her family and friends, she has the most lax life because the responsibility of fighting is carried out for her by her brother and father. She was the one that got Vegeta to shave his mustache.
