Striving to be one of the best school in the region , SMK Seafield has devised its very own mission and vision. The school's mission and vision was created so that students and teachers alike can follow or use it as a guide in their pursuit for knowledge , excellence , stability , harmony and success. Every phrase in the school's vision has its very own unique meaning.

To keep students informed about the school's mission and vision , the school has placed numerous signs about it all around the school. An example of these signs , such as the one shown above are located at 4 out of 10 staircases that are found in Seafield. Below are some of the locations where the mission and vision signs can be found. The mission vision sign located at the stairs next to the SPBT room is not shown here.

The first shot was photograph at the central hub staircase which is in between Block A and B ,the second at the staircase in between Block B and C and the last one at the staircase next to the office in Block B. The signs can be seen as you ascend from the ground floor to the floors above. All the signs are identical in each location. In the last photo , you can see that the school has installed wooden cabinets into the bottom part of the staircase. The cabinets are filled with handicraft works from various divisions of arts. At the base of the cabinet , you can see a raised floor with red marks at its border. Previously , the entire raised floor used to painted red but it has since been chipped away.
In my opinion , the location of these mission vision signs is bad and as if no was no proper planning in positioning the signs. Due to its location , it was almost a photographer's nightmare since it was located at the worst possible place to be photograph , at the bottom of the staircase with metal grilles at the entrance. It was very hard to choose the appropriate angle to get both the mission and vision together. Another reason why it's in a bad location is that no one will stop to read the signs when they're ascending or descending the stairs. Who would lift their heads to even glimpse the school's vision when he/she is busy concentrating the steps? I think only people who lepak at the stairs will appreciate the mission vision signs.
