Then...

In this shot (from right to left), you can see the east end staircase , block Bestari , and block Cekap under construction. The walls are still bare without the paint. I assumed the ground was very bad because the photographer didn't include it in the picture. 

Now...

Zoom towards the 20th century and the scenery has changed tremendously . The walls has been painted to give it a striking , distinctive look. As in  the East End staircase shot , a garden has been constructed to beautify the east end of the school . The garden to the left  is the extension to the east end staircase garden and it too features hanging orchids but doesn't provide any place to sit.
