So you think this archive would make a good home for your fanfic? Well then, you'd better be at least half as good an author as I (me? I am? myself?)

Wait... that's easy. I'm a terrible writer. So change the main requirement to: is your story fun? There are many kinds of fun. Dropping the Sailor Scouts in a ridiculous alternate dimension can be fun. As can be killing Usagi and dealing with the consequences. Hey! I didn't say it had to be funny, just fun!

I do have a pet peeve: bad editing. I swear some people just bang out a story and post it, without bothering to read what they wrote. Makes me wonder if they care, or if they're just puking ideas into the computer. :)

On that pleasant note, I beg you to re-read your story, double-check spelling and grammar, plug up plot holes, tie up loose ends, and generally take pride in your work. If you don't, I'll toss it back into the digital ocean like one of those little fish that you can catch but can't keep, and don't want your friends to see anyway.

Can you finish the story before asking me to post it? I hate reading a great series, only to discover the author gave up halfway through, five years ago. Continuing series that don't continue are only disappointing.

Oh, yeah, here's an important point. Is your story a story? A story is a text where something happens between the beginning and the end. There are an unbelievable number of fanfics floating around the web wherein absolutely nothing happens.

One more thing. Certain stories aren't appropriate here. No lemons. I refer you to Sakura's Lemon Fanfic Archive, where the admin will find a nice home for your bitter fruit. And though I love MSTs, they are better suited to Shinji's Vault of Anime Mistings. And stories written in script style generally belong in the Recycle Bin (that's the Trash Can for you Mac users), since writing in script is almost always an author's way of avoiding actual prose.

Yep, yep, yep, yep, yep. You're good to go. Email me at the below address. Attach the story as an ASCII text or HTML file, or include a URL where the story is posted. I check this particular email irregularly, so don't hold your breath. :) If I like it, it's posted. If not, I'll let you know why.
