Home | Event Co-ordination Saheliyan events are held on the third Saturday every month. In January, ideas and suggestions are brought out on what people would like to do/change for the year... ex. More/fewer family events, more/fewer out-door events, what worked/didn't work for the year. Volunteers for each event are requested. Usually, one new member and one old member are teamed together to work on an event. Preferably people who don't know each other very well are requested to work. Diwali is the only event that requires 5-6 people to help organize it and hence is assigned a bigger number of members. New members are not expected to conduct an event for the first 6 months of their membership. It is totally optional. If a member cannot conduct their event for any reason, she will need to find a substitute (either personally, or by sending an email to the group to see if someone else may be interested in substituting with her) for her event. It is not the coordinator’s responsibility to find her a substitute. In the event that she cannot find a substitute, she may approach the coordinator. Annual "BRAIN STORMING" Meeting During the annual Saheliyan meeting held on the 3rd Saturday of January every year, we meet as a group to review the status of members. Any prospective members are welcome to this event. This will be a forum to join the Saheliyan for the year. Open Events
