[ about ]

I`m guessing you`ll want to know a little about me. Well I was born and raised in California. Yet actually conceived in Hong Kong, I traveled in my Moms belly half way across the world before taking my first breath. So, I`m a 2nd Generation Chinese American, living the LA lifestyle. What else... I got my degree in Film, Studio Art and Digital arts at UC Irvine. For my career goals I plan to get into the film industry and hopefully start making my own films. Specifically I’m interested in being a Cinematographer and later a Director. I’ve also started doing some work in the IT industry and am getting into computer graphics and all that. Right now I`m in the process of editing a short I filmed called “Music Box Dreams” and am also in pre-production for some other projects.

If your into the club scene you`ve probably seen me around. I usually hit the Korean Clubs, Like Vels, or Le Prive. On occasion I`ll go to Soho. Actually to tell you the truth I`m starting to get bored of clubbing these days... but I mean what else is there to do? As far as movies are concerned I`m what you would can a fanatic, I love to watch movies! Just about as much as I like to make them. I mean I can sit and watch movies all day long. I`m one of those people that have sat in a theatre from the matinee shows all the way to the late show. Anyway hehe, in terms of artist I admire or like to be like, I consider Wong Kar Wai as my favorite director and I really would like to be like Christopher Doyle. For those of you out there that don`t know much about Asian cinema, Chris Doyle is the cinematographer for all the Wong Kar Wai movies including Chung King Express(one of my all time favorite!) and his new Cannes award winning film In the Mood For Love. I'm a real fan of the Asian genres, especially works from Hong Kong and Japan. Recently I've also started watching some Korean films like Christmas in August and Shiri. Both by HUR Jin-ho, who I think is awesome. Besides watching movies I really love to travel!!! I've been mostly to Asia, Hong Kong, China, Japan and been inside the airport for Korea, if that counts hehe =P. No but seriously I plan on visiting Korea, Taiwan, Thailand in the near future. Traveling around the world would be one of my most ideal dreams. I love immersing myself into other cultures and societies. As far as the states I've been all over. My favorite places being, Seattle, Chicago, New York, and I can't forget LA it is my home after all. Well if you want to know more about me,or what I'm doing at the moment, drop me a line or give me a call! Ok thanks for coming, come by again soon!
