Dark Elves, the opposites of their light cousins.  But beyond a physical resemblance they have nothing in common what so ever.  Dark Elves hate the sun, and they hate Peyitin, who burned their god Yaksha into everlasting agony.  Drow, the Elven word for bastard is often applied to Dark Elves, they absolutely despise that word, anytime it is said they usually fly into a frenzy, for that is a racial weakness among them, if that word is so much as uttered near one of them they must make a willpower roll difficulty 9 to avoid berzerking.  Despised, reviled and mistreated Dark Elves don't have it easy,  they are by far the most hated race, they practice vile and contemptible rituals in the depths of the Underdark, for their god Yaksha demands that every third son be sacrificed to him, as a token of love of course.  The dark clerics of Yaksha are feared only slightly less then those of Alanis, goddess of the humans.
    Dark Elves would love to stay in the Underdark and never venture forth into the hated sun, but their god Yaksha has different idea's, and one always answers to the beck and call of ones god.

    They hire themselves out as professional thieves and assassins, war mages and body guards, they own whole chapters of the thieves guild, they bribe high ranking officials with favors, and certain precious jewels that are only found in the Underdark, far below were even the Dwarves don't dare to venture.  Whatever the reason the Drow have their fingers in everything and anything that's both legitimate and illegitimate on Realm.  Drow are masters of corruption, they have the ability to find all the weak spots in a persons character.  They can own anyone in a second.

Dark Elves are totally ruled by the church, religion is everything to a Dark Elf and the current Akumata is a sniveling little scum named Reg'Nar, many Drow priest's wonder how he ever obtained so much power.

Character Creation: Dark Elves are a resentful race, being forced to live in the shadows away from anyone else might just do that to you, they all basically have negative attitudes.
They can range from the silent but deadly to the all out anarchist bent on the destruction of the entire Human, Elven Dwarven ect. ect. ect. races.  Drow prefer the professions, spy, thief and or assassin.

Appearance: Onyx black skin, long silvery white hair, eyes usually blood red or totally black.

Starting stats: 4 in willpower, 4 ability points.  Can use 15  freebie points while generating, also Dark Elves must start out with at least one derangement.

Life span: 1,300-1,500

Weakness: Prolonged exposure to the sun will cause a Dark Elf  to slowly lose strength, a Drow may only stay out in the sun an hour and a half for each dot in stamina, after that time has passed their physical stats will slowly deteriorate, a dot per hour, once all his physical stats reach zero he will begin to loose health points.  A Dark Elf must rest out of the sun for as many hours as he was in the sun to recover from this.  There are ways around this, Shadow mages can make the shadows cover them and there is a magickal cloak of Darkness one can buy or make.
