Swamp beast's.  The ugly ones.  Since they have come to Realm the Sherani have endured many of these insults, but no one ever says it to a Sherani's face, at least no one sober or slightly intelligent.
They are one of the most powerful races on Realm and are often Demon half breeds.

    Sherani used to be ruled by two warring factions, the Dark and Light Shamans.  Sherani originally came from Sheran Kai, a planet far from Realm.  Their planet was dominated by the Dark Shamans and it was slowly dying, what little resistance there was soon fled to Realm to regroup.  At first they thought they could easily take such a backwater planet as Realm but after a confrontation with the Ryu-Jin, they decided it would be better if they lived in peace with Realms inhabitants.
They chose a large swampland as there new home since it reminded them of their home planet Sheran Kai.  They even named the land Sheran, then bringing all their power to bear the Light Shamans separated the land of Sheran from what is known as Kikai today, creating their own continent.  At first they had decided to shun all other races but the Council of Five thought it best to make nice with their new neighbors.  The three most famous Sherani are as follows, Sekken, a former Dark Shaman who had fallen in love with a Mana-Jin, (even now Sherani are the only people who believe that Mana-Jin exist.) Ganen, his first born son, a half Mana-Jin breed and Ukyo's half brother, and finally Zurio, Ganens younger brother, a half demon Sherani afflicted with a terrible disease given to him by one of the Yamma Kings (Demon Lords.)

    Now the Dark Shamans have been totally abolished on Realm and Sheran Kai and the Council of Five rules with the peoples consent, Sheran is the prime import/export center on Realm and money is rolling in by the billions everyday, most Sherani now a days are merchants.
The current High Light Shamans on the council are:
Kageshin:  The first, a wise and just man, he rules with kindness and discipline.  Only the most important things are brought before him for discussions.  It is rumored that he is one of Ganens direct descendants, no one knows his true for he seems no older then 25, but he has been the head of the council since the days before the Cataclysm, it is also said that he knew Ukyo personally since he was his uncle.
Takemoto:  The second, Kageshin's personal assistant.  An old man with a particular hump on his back and a bad attitude, he doesn't like disturbances, and he likes people even less.
Di'gena:  The third, a vain and beautiful specimen of his race.  He thinks himself above all others and believes that it is he that should be on the first chair.  It is rumored that he has ties with the Red Moon Society.
Sallan:  A sniveling little man, though he is physically weak, his mental strength is unmatched, he is a valued member of the Council.  He often waits until he is told to speak unless he becomes extremely agitated.
Garak:  The youngest member of the council, he is ridiculed by his colleges and often takes out his rage on his servants, he is not a kindly master.  But he would do anything to prove himself to the council.

    These people are an underground society of Dark Shaman sympathizers.  They believe the old ways to be best and refuse to hear any new ideas, they wish to return Realm and Sheran Kai to the dark ages when their ancestors ruled supreme. 
They are ruthless and extremely prejudice, they will let no one in their ranks unless they are pure blood Sherani, not even Demon half breeds are allowed to enter.

Character creation: Sherani can range from anything like lone fighters to Shaman priests, most Sherani prefer an equal distribution of all attributes, Shamans, however prefer having a little extra in the mental and occult areas.

Appearance: Sherani all have dark green skin and long shaggy brown hair and purple eyes, females have a tendency towards red hair.  Most Sherani exceed 5' 8" after their 15th life day.
Demon half breed Sherani have a lighter almost olive shade of skin, and their eyes are red with white irises, they have hair of any color and often reach up to 7 feet tall.

Starting Stats: They begin with a 5 in Willpower, 4 in Anger and 4 Ability Points, the Shamans start with a 6 in Willpower, 5 Ability Points but only 2 anger, Demon Half Breeds get a 6 in Anger, 3 Ability Points and 4 in Willpower.

Life Span: 2,000 years, Demon half breeds live for 2,500 years.

Weakness: Most Sherani are considered ugly buy any that aren't of them, they must take an appearance of level 4 and above to be considered normal among other races.
Demon breed Sherani look better but start with a derangement and are persecuted for their lighter skin.
