Cyborgs

Cyborg:  A carbon based entity who's body and physical appearance has been augmented by machinery, usually weapons.

Cyborgs were the first attempt that Humans from Kikai made to increase the strength of the Human race before they tried genetics.  Though later turned into a success their first attempt was somewhat of a failure, or rather a setback of major proportions.  Not wanting to endanger the lives of the good citizens, scientists at Geno-Dyne Tech used prisoners and convicts as guinea pigs in their earlier experiments.  All went seemingly well until they tried a brain augmentation experiment on a convicted serial murderer named Galan Jeriko, Galen had been undergoing serious rehab and taking stress relieving mind drugs, but his new addition gave him the ability to process and break down  food and chemicals much faster then norm, without the mind calming drugs he was taking he reverted back to his old self.  Killing the two top scientists and releasing the other test subjects he decided it was time to take his new body out for a test run, he and his cohorts ran through the city of
Ezo leaving a trail carnage behind them.
The local government deployed the police but they couldn't do anything to stop Jeriko and his gang, so Geno-Dyne Tech went to work on perfecting the bio-mechanical implants and they used carefully screened test subjects picked from the highest ranks of the army and police, eventually what came out were specialized Cyborgs that still looked Human, could equal the power of the Ronin Cyborgs and had none of the Flaws.  After they destroyed Jeriko and most of his crew (a few escaped but not unscathed) it was soon appointed that the whole police force would be compromised of Augmented Humans.  Geno-Dyne Tech, having learned from their mistakes and  made sure they implanted special instructions into the new Cyborgs mental programming, commands to OBEY!

Before they began to study genetics they created a special police force comprised of only the very best Cyborgs, (Which would later include Kusans as well) they called it E.G.D. Eradication of Genetic Deviants.  E.G.D. is called in to hunt down and destroy Ronin Cyborgs, Kusans and Gigans, they are ruthless and let nothing get in their way, all of them are altered further so that they only need maintenance every 14 months instead of every 7, so they can stay in the field longer to track their prey.

The Ronin Cyborgs were not extinguished that night when the Authorized Cyborgs attacked them, three survived:  Jinva Shelise, an ex-sniper who served in the army, she was convicted of killing her whole platoon when they got in her line of fire.  Marick Donoven, a system hacker convicted of selling top secret information to the Sheran High Council for a lofty sum, he's a genius and it took him no time at all to learn how to upgrade and maintain their new bodies, he is directly responsible for all other Ronin Cyborgs today.  Finally Koren Shima, a lowly street fighter who rose to fame in the decrepit underground of Ezo, he was captured in a police raid and was sentenced to death but the Cyborg project saved him, he is the creator of Panzer Dragon the ultimate Cyborgs fighting technique.
These three lead the Ronin even today, though ex-cons they fight for the freedom Kikai deserves, they know more then anyone the great evil behind Geno-Dyne Tech and wish to overthrow
president Kunihiko Arashi.

Nicknames: Rust Buckets

Character Creation: In any campaign choosing to be a Ronin Cyborg would be best, the GM must have a truly good reason to let someone play an Authorized Cyborg, and even more reason to play an E.G.D. Cyborg that has the ability to leave Kikai.  A Cyborgs only preference is to stay alive.

Appearance: Authorized Cyborgs look like normal Kikai Humans, Ronin Cyborgs still look slightly Human, albeit with lots of metallic entachments and bionic augmentations.

Starting Stats: Authorized Cyborg: 3 in Willpower and 5 in Ability Points.
Ronin Cyborg: 5 in Willpower and 4 in Ability Points.

Life Span: A Cyborgs life span could infact be indefinite, as long as they receive the proper maintenance.

Weakness: All Cyborgs share a common weakness, the parts for their bodies increase their weight
by a significant amount, they need to modulate their other augmentations so that they can carry that incredible weight, swimming without special enhancement is out of the question, and jumping on something could literally crush it.
Authorized Cyborgs cannot leave the country without orders to do so and are totally controlled by their programers, they also need higher level maintenance, every 7 months they need to go back to Geno-Dyne Tech labs and be taken apart then put back together with all the proper parts replaced and upgraded.
Ronin Cyborgs however have a simpler yet more dangerous weakness, the more upgrades they have the more easily they are spotted most try to get out of Kikai so they can live in general peace, they must also take a  daily dose of morphine (250 Mg's) because their bodies aren't capable of taking the pressure of the bionic entachments, only the three original Ronins have the ability to take the pain without drugs.  If you don't take your daily morphine then you begin to lose your stats, Minus 1 to all physical stats for every day you haven't taken morphine, allot of Ronins learn how to mix herbs so if they are cut off from their supply they can manufacture something similar.
