GUNDAM SEED
"Year 70 of the Cosmic Era. Tensions were mounting between the Earth and ZAFT Organization. Due to the Bloody Valentine tragedy, these tensions suddenly escalated into a full-scale war. It seemed a foregone conclusion that the Earth Forces, with its superior numbers, would be victorious, but these initial assessments proved to be false. Almost 11 months have passed since the conflict began, with no end in sight..."
The story surrounds 16-year-old kid named Kira Yamato who wants to live a normal life. That life of his has been put on hold as he is in the middle of a crossfire between the Earth and the ZAFT Forces in Heliopolis - inside it are built-in Mobile Suits secretly developed in the colony. He came across his best friend, Athrun Zala in ZAFT uniform and stole one of the developed Suits. Kira was aboard the remaining mobile suit that Kira called "Gundam" along with the Earth Alliance member. It was then on that Kira revealed his secret: Kira is, in fact, a Coordinator...
Now, forced to pilot the remaining Gundam in order to protect his closest friends and the ones onboard the Archangel, Kira must rely on the power of the Strike to fight...even if it means against his best friend, and his own...

"Cosmic Era 72. A year and a half of grim war between Earth and the PLANTs was finally brought to an end following the space battle at Jachin Due. The two sides forged a peace treaty amid the ruins of Junius Seven, a place of unprecedented tragedy during the conflict. The former enemies pledged themselves to work for mutual understanding and to make every effort possible to maintain peace. As a result, the world was once more on the path to stability."
Not in this case of one boy - a boy named Shin Asuka, a Coordinator who lost his entire family in the battle of ORB, now a member of ZAFT and the pilot of the newly-developed Gundam, the Impulse. Before the ceremony of new ship is launched, however, renegades have stolen 3 new Mobile Suits and the world is once again on the brink of war.
He also has a personal vendetta: to search for the Freedom and defeat it to avenge the ones he lost. However, it'll become too late for him for his thirst for revenge and power will be his own doom and demise... Now a new battle has begun and, in this war, the relationship between Athrun Zala and Cagalli Yula Attha may come to an end...
