Who's Who, What's What, and What the Hell's That?

Comic Book Resources (CBR) - Comic Book webpage and message board.  The boards are divided into the main comic companies (like Marvel and DC) and various miscellaneous boards.  Some boards of interest are:

Community Board - The largest board on the CBR, the Comm board is where the CBR denizens to get together and chat, pass the time, tell stories and jokes, whatever.

Rumbles Board - The 'new kid' on the Boards, the Rumbles (or "Sacred Rumbling Grounds" as a few fans have called it) is where posters put up various hypothetical battles, encounters, fights, and situations involving fictional figures.  The Rumblers are dedicated to their board, and there has been a few rivalries with the Comm Board regulars, some of whom don't particularly care for the Rumbles.

Never Ending Board - Where posters post stories, whether it be of their favorite characters, or their own creations.

The Moderators - Each board has a moderator, who makes sure the board runs smoothly by deleting multiple posts, kicking off trolls and spammers, and keeping the peace.  Each moderator carries a Deletion gun, used to delete said multiple posts, flamers, trolls, spammers, etc.

The Groups:  Within the CBR, many people form groups or like-minded fellows.  For this story, we'll focus on three:  The Papermonkies, Jack's Cult, and the Infinites Writing Staff.

The Papermonkies:  Formed by Papergirl and Pulse, the Papermonkies are one of the oldest groups on the Comm Board.  They're a friendly, jovial bunch.

Jack's Cult:  Formed by Jack Tango, who won the award, "Most Likely to Start a Cult".  Jack's Cult is flocked by those devoted followers of the Word of Jack, as well as Demonicuss, who is perhaps the most skeptical cultist of the bunch.

The Infinites Writing Staff:  The Rumbles premier (and only) writing group, the IWS write, well, if you're at this site, you should know what we write, huh?

Khazan:  In the IWS bibles, Khazan is a planet on multiversal crossrifts, occupied by heroes and villains from all the comic companies, as well as characters of their own creation.

The Khazanian Fictional Villains:  All about the two main fictional villains on this story, Z-Mage and DeMonStar.

Z-Mage -  Once there was a man who studied the Phoenix Gate, a mystic artifact that allowed the user to travel anywhere instantaneously, including time travel.  During an experiment, he accidentally drew from the past his younger self.  His younger self, power-mad, killed his older self and took control of the Phoenix Gate, gaining its power.  The young man, calling himself Z-Mage, realized that, due to his hasty actions, his fate was already made, as he was to be killed by his younger self.  Vowing to stop his destiny, Z-Mage went on a multiversal killing spree, taking arcane and powerful items to increase his powers.  He can destroy a universe, using the shockwaves created to change fate and hopefully prevent his future demise.

DeMonStar - In another universe, the majority of the galaxy was ruled by a criminal named MonStar.  Before he was slain, he gave a cloning machine his DNA, and ordered it that, shall he be killed, to recreate him and "make me better".  After thousands of years, the improved creature emerged.  Stronger and smarter than his "father", this new creature decided to consider himself MonStar's son, rather than his improved clone.  Taking the name DeMonStar, he realized that, for a thug like MonStar to be improved into an intelligent being like himself, he could be improved even more, becoming a perfect being.  DeMonStar went on a campaign for personal perfection, destroying planets for elements used for increasing cellular regrowth, protecting species whose blood could heal him.  Whatever DeMonStar can do for heighten his evolution, be it for good or ill, he will do it.  DeMonStar roams the multiverse in his base, the mobile planet BrimStar, in his quest for evolution.

The Panic in the Sky:  A story written by members of the IWS, the Panic introduced Khazan to DeMonStar and Z-Mage, and created a hatred between the two.
