Of assassinations and wrapping
things up. Part 48
T-1000 was relieved to hear Greg Hatcher's voice over his intercom, especially when he informed him of everything that happened. Ozbat alive and well, despite the fact that he was having a bit of an identity crisis. Jerry Stanford was arrested, and with him gone, and OzBat alive and well again, T-1000 watched as the characters of the NEB began to disappear, Max Zero, the Infinities, Silver Lantern, Z-Mage, all of them, disappearing, being sucked back into the texts of the NEB archives. However, T-1000 was not finished yet. Although his troops were not evacuating the area, there was still one more thing he had to do. *** Jerry Standford was led in chains back to the headquarters of Jack
Tango's cult. However, rather than transport him inside the Mystifying
Machine, they had arranged for him to be transported in a police van.
Everybody totally ignored Jerry's wild cries of anti-fan-fiction and how
the NEB should be wiped off the face of the earth. He insisted that
there were more like him who would follow in his footsteps. *** T-1000 let out a vengeful smile. If indeed there were those willing to follow in Jerry Standford's footsteps, they would certainly think twice now. T-1000 hadn't mentioned this to the other members of Jack Tango's cult, but he wasn't just the field commander of Nod, he was the absolute leader of the Brotherhood of Nod, and as such controlled all aspects of the CBR's confirmed most dangerous terrorist organization, even the Black Hand of Nod, which specialized in assassination and random terrorist acts as well as spying and intelligence. It was his control of the Black Hand of Nod that had made him leader of Nod in the first place. He wasn't sure if he should have told them of his plans to assassinate Jerry Standford from the beginning once he learned of his guilt, but he was sure that nobody would figure it out on their own. The Black Hand of Nod wasn't sloppy, and they never left any evidence. |
