NEWS AND UPDATES 08.12.04 Jessica gave me the info to work on the Wesley website, so over break I might redesign it. Also, I think I can get the text-based files reduced by about 60% -- that is a testament to the unwieldy code that Microsoft FrontPage creates. I'm kind of afraid that if I redesign the site, I'll have to use FrontPage to make it actually look good, so that will require more coding cleanup. Anywho, the peer team page now has an updated picture...yo. 23.11.04 Well, now that we're coming up on 24 hours since the download, I'm hooked on FireFox. In other news, I've been spending a fair amount of time on the Campus Greens website. I got some much-needed assistance from MJ on the form email to get a validation that (it turns out) is included in the formmail script used by UI. I also updated pretty much everything, and I'm really hoping that I can learn how to use something that's not a text-based editor so that I can just use some PHP or something to load other pages inside a PHP page. I'm vehemently opposed to frames (old habits die hard), so my only alternative to a new website editor is a whole lot of PHP learnin'. I know that going FrontPage goes against a variety of things I believe, but having to change like 20 pages every time I update is more than a little tedious. Plus, then it might actually look good. Spare a good color scheme, anyone? I'll be updating the journal today, and if I happen to have any, I might put up some more pictures. My schedule for next semester is done, so I'll make a page and put that up as well. 22.11.04 I have a request for you all: Get FireFox, Love FireFox, Spread FireFox. (I realize this sounds like more than one request, but trust me, it's a one-step process.) 04.11.04 Well hey, look who's here. I might do something with this soon because I may also be in charge of the UICG and the UIEC websites. I've also been doing a fair amount with the 10K website lately, so go and check it out. In the mean time, watch Carl Lewis in all his glory. That's the kind of haircut I want. 19.06.04 In the latest news from the oasis, work is intense and the website is suffering extreme atrophy. Just a quick journal update and some new writing. 06.05.04 hey, check out the pics page to see stuff I did recently. I'm taking it down with future updates (that is, today) because those jpg's and publisher files take up as much room as pictures from The Salvador. 05.05.04 What a failure I've been at keeping this anything close to current...but what's new? I posted the new schedule, updated the journal, will change some salvadoran pictures, linked to former projects, and just did a general "got-a-new-schedule-so-must-update-everything" kind of a thing. Check it out all the new stuff! I'm still thinking about redesigning this site to make it look..uh..good. Based on my current updating habits, however, I think it's highly unlikely. 18.03.04 a journal update, a few additional files, no more
