Rythm
Man's
Head - This is a pencil rendered image of a man's head that takes
six steps - starting from a basic oval - to be completely finished.
This, in fact, going from beginning to end, portrays progressive rhythm.
Self Portrait
Mirror
Reflection - This was a pencil rendered image of myself that I
drew with a mirror. With this assignment, I noticed a lot of things
about my facial features that never really caught my attention. In
turn, I also picked up little tricks on shading as well as certain
hatching methods. Also, this piece was submitted into the 2001 Teen
Arts Festival held at Brookdale Community College. Although it wasn't
nominated for anything by the judges, the visitors paid a lot of praise
to this piece, which, in turn, was much more rewarding.
Monochromatic
- This is another pencil rendered image of myself. The image was derived
from an image that was taken of me using a digital camera. The image
was then rendered in Adobe Photoshop to be in grayscale and set to
have three levels of color, therefore, making the image monochromatic.
Still Life
Bones
- This piece was first outlined in pencil and finally rendered in
ink. The still life (no pun intended) came from pieces of an old human
skeleton that was originally used in the science labs, but had recently
become art examples due to years of wear and tear.
Texture:
Fruit
Bowl - A color pencil rendered picture of a fruit bowl that was
derived from an Internet image. The purpose of the assignment was
to help understand how texture can be emulated into artwork using
a multitude of methods such as stippling and hatches.
*All artwork was scanned
and then touched up with Adobe Photoshop.
**All sources(rough drafts)
that the work has dervied from can be found in each respective folder
on this CD.

2OG (2000 Odyssey Group)
2OG Logo (color)
(black/white)
- These two images were both originally designed in Adobe Illustrator
according to the specific instructions by the owners of 2og.com (an
upside down triangle with an eye in the center and each character
of 2OG on each corner of the triangle).
Different Toon
Layout
- This is the most recent layout for a website I had in mind that
I have been working on, in an effort to provide an online portfolio
for myself as well as establishing a background for myself. The layout
itself was originally designed in Adobe Illustrator but after several
versions it was finally created in Adobe Photoshop with portions of
elements imported from files I made in Illustrator.
Character
- This is one of the characters that I created in Illustrator as sort
of a mascot for Different Toon. In all honesty, this character is
an exaggerated depiction of myself. Although it isn't finished it
helps to demonstrate my ability to be able to draw in Illustrator.
Magic Home Improvement
Original
Layout - This was the original site layout that was created solely
in Illustrator for a relative of mine in order for him to promote
his carpentary services on the Internet.
Top
Hat Logo - To me, I wanted to unite the whole "magic"
and "home improvement" themes by making a creative logo
and incorporating it into the site layout through Illustrator. Hence,
I decided on a top hat and a magic wand to be the main captivating
icons of the logo with a banner that shows the name "Magic Home
Improvement."
Final
Layout - My relative disagreed on the logo and insisted the logo
be changed to the one he made. A small change to the logo and finally
I resubmitted a layout that he liked.
Stopwatch
Layout
- This was a layout of a site that I had in mind of creating to help
display my portfolio online. Basically, it was created in Illustrator
and was supposed to be ported into Flash to perhaps allow it to be
an interactive entity of the site.
Tinton Falls
Public
Works Map - This is the map that is used in the Public Works section
of tintonfalls.com for the trash zones. Photoshop was to outline and
color in the zones while the Map Key was done in Illustrator and imported
into Photoshop.
