The Halcyon Days

Introduction: Ramses and Zolar join the party, and the full crew is put together. These mostly carry on the tradition of the previous chapter, only now with the introduction of several running NPCs and the basis of a storyline. Ramses is Warren's main character, and his... special... tendencies begin to shape the campaign ahead.

Adventure 6: The Return of Gennan Var, or Unusual Imperial Protocol
Characters Involved: Torill, Tu'ebb
Overview: Forgetting to take his anti-stupid pills that morning, Michael sets us up on a run where, after being caught for hauling near-contraband, an Imperial officer accompanies us to make sure of the cargo's destination. Why this happened, we'll never know. Anyhoo, after making the dropoff, Torill is ambushed by the cyborged- and pissed- Gennan Var. He barely makes an escape, and destroys Var's ship in an above-planet battle.
Interesting Moments: Gennan Var walked dramatically out of the shadows, clicking his metal fingers.
Quotes: "Oh no, Hendyker, I'm not working for Ganis...." -Gennan Var

Adventure 7: The Eye of Malduran, or Jedi Schmedi
Characters Involved: Torill, Tu'ebb
Overview: While on a cargo run, Torill and Tu'ebb are confronted by a man named Durei, who claims Prennin is a criminal with evil, nasty plans for a Force-sensitive object in his possesion called the Eye of Malduran. Believing every word, the two follow Durei's suggestion and purloin the Eye from Prennin's collection. However, after handing the artifact over to Durei, they find that he is in fact a fake. They track him down, and find he is a Dark Jedi about to use the Eye's power for his own slimy, maladjusted purposes. Torill and Tu'ebb, pissed that the guy jilted them, kill him and make off with his lightsaber. Yipee.
Interesting Moments: Tu'ebb uses the late Durei's stolen lightsaber to cut down a few of his cronies in the escape.
-The dudes met at Exovar's Emporium with Prenin afterward. This came from one of our new sourcebooks, Wretched Hives of Scum and Villany. Tu'ebb donated the lightsaber to Exovar's collection.
Quotes: "Feh, Jedi Schmedi." -Torill, after defeating Durei

Adventure 8: Ramses Comes Thundering In, or Something's Fishy Here
Characters Involved: Torill, Tu'ebb, Ramses, Seenine
Overview: This adventure marked Warren's entrance into our campaign. Having to make a contact in Wildwater city, on Mon Calamari, the two meet up via Prennin with Ramses 3000, killer assasination droid esquire. For protection, Prennin says. Whatever. While Seenine and Ramses make the contact, Torill and Tu'ebb enjoy a nice sushi dinner at Fathoms, a restaurant. However, their dinner is rudely interuppted by an insane Quarren and his small army of malcontents as they storm the restaraunt, blasters ready. The pair manage to make it away and meet up with the droids, who blast their way through. Arming themselves with some appropriated grenades, they take off after the leader. He steals a sub, and an "Abyss"-esque sub chase ensues. However, Ramses, on the outside of our hero's sub, plants an AP mine on the enemy's hatch, causing it to implode and ending his insane little romp right were it started.
Interesting moments: The grenades Torill took weren't used up til "Dusk Falls."
Quotes: ::Pointing upward frantically:: -Ramses

Adventure 9: Femme Fatale, or Whatever Sinks Your Boat
Characters Involved: Torill, Tu'ebb, Ramses, Seenine
Overview: While at a cantina, the group is approached by a beautiful woman named Darrina Makessa, who asks for transport to a nearby system. Torill, struck by her beauty, accepts. En route, Darrina corners him, saying how she's fallen in love with him. She kisses him and he falls asleep, drugged. She proceeds to incapacitate the rest of the crew. They wake up in the brig of Ganis the Hutt's yacht, soon to be confronted by their former, angry boss. However, they break free and split up, to take out the tractor beam and get to the ship (sound familiar?). While Ramses and Seenine secure the engineering, Torill and Tu'ebb are confronted by Darrina in the hangar bay. A fight ensues, which Darrina almost wins until the two droid's indirect assistance of killing the lights. The group escapes Ganis' cripped yacht as it plunges out of orbit into the planet's atmosphere.
Interesting moments: As Darrina is confused by the lights going out, Torill kicks her legs out from under her and makes a run for it.
Quotes: "Can we just assume this stuff happened?" -Michael, of the exchange between Darrina and Torill on the 'Tan
"Ah, she wasn't my type anyway."
-Torill, of Darrina

Adventure 10: Prismal's Vengeance, or An Awry Adventure
Characters Involved: Torill, Tu'ebb, Ramses, Zolar
Overview: About this point in the campaign, Warren decides he needs to play another character. He therefore creates Zolar, the, uh..... generic dude. He's supposed to be a bounty hunter, but he's a kind of smuggler dude (at least at this point). But anyhoo, now the adventure group is kinda set up. As for the adventure, Prenin introduces Zolar as a new partner for the group. He then sends them on a shipping run to a forgotten planet. However, on the way, they are ambushed by pirates. This was where the adventure went wrong. The gamemaster was expecting them to be captured, and then have to escape with the help of that pirate dude they met in "Hijacked." However, Michael underestimated the crew's skill, and they avoided the few Uglies he sent against them. Michael, then desperate, tries to have the pirates, led by their leader Prismal, appear at the character's hangar bay to extract vengeance on the characters. However, the crew blast the lacking-in-numbers pirates and blast off before reinforcements arrive. Overall though, the adventure was a 2-encounter suck adventure, an omen of what was about to happen.
Interesting Moments: Zolar sets an explosion of fuel off to delay the pirates.
-While flying away, Torill, feeling frivolous, releases their cargo over a local college football game, the college to whom the cargo was meant for.
Quotes: "That was way too easy." -Sean

Adventure 11: Turnabout Intruder, or Ramses Can't Drive
Characters Involved: Torill, Tu'ebb, Ramses, Zolar
Overview: Without any job, the group is approached by a woman who wants transport to the Magasa system. You'd think they would learn after their last encounter like that, but with Torill making the deal... anyhoo, she had to pick something up on another planet first. After dropping her off, Torill, always looking for the score, accompanies her. However, the two are ambushed by Darinna. He manages to escape, however, and makes it away after a car chase. Determined to keep the contract, he takes her to Magasa, to a conference of diplomats of the sector. After failing to shoo him away, she sets up a gun position on the roof. It turns out she was an assasin, there to kill one of the diplomats. However, a four-way standoff occurs between him when he refuses to let her, her partner who is actually an undercover detective, and Darrina, who shows up at the last minute. Torill manages to distract them long enough to make a shooting exit, and leaves determined not to let that happen to him again...
Interesting Moments: Ramses, receiving a distress call from Torill, steals a speeder and ends up smashing it into a wall at all-out speed, nearly demolishing himself. Both Ramses and Zolar are out for most of the rest of the adventure, as Zolar had to retrieve his partner's bits and pieces.
-Torill palms a grenade, while talking to keep Darinna busy.
Quotes: "Hello again, Torill...." -Darinna
"Ramses? What happened to Ramses?"
-Torill

Adventure 12: Stranded, or A Bug's Life
Characters Involved: Torill, Tu'ebb, Ramses, Zolar
Overview: This was the first canned adventure in the adventure journal. It was meant for Rebs (as were most of the adventures), but it was heavily skewed for our purposes. Prennin, after several shipping runs, asked us to accompany a friend of his on a trip, for "protection" purposes. This friend happened to be the xenopsychologist Dr. Nardah, who was studying the Karrans, a primitive race of anteater-like people. While there, an Imperial shuttle went down nearby, and when the crew went to help any survivors, the Karrans reacted violently, killing Dr. Nardah. The ship which we borrowed- the 'Tan was in drydock- was also disabled by insects the Karrans controlled. With the haughty Imperial governer they rescued and Dr. Nardah's assistant, the crew had to trek overland to an Imperial garrison that had a ship. Once there, they had to get through a battle at the Imperial base when the Karrans attacked it with the help of their insect friends. They managed to steal a ship and escape, leaving the battle behind.
Interesting moments: Having to get down a 1000-foot sheer cliff, the crew had to design some crude gliders to get down.
-Early on in the adventure, Ramses was seriously damaged by a Karran warrior. Lacking the tools to repair him, the rest of the crew had to drag his heavy ass all over the Karran plains and down the cliff. It wasn't fun.
-While the ship was powering up to escape, a huge Karran mantis attacked. Torill, mirroring Ian Malcolm in Jurassic Park, ran out and distracted it with a flare. Of course, that meant it was interested in him...
Quotes: "Bugs. Why does it always have to be bugs?" -Torill

Adventure 13: The Relic, or Confusion
Characters Involved: All
Overview: The second canned adventure in the adventure book. This adventure wasn't the most fun we had, mainly because it was hacked to pieces to pertain to our characters. Anyhoo, Prennin asks the crew to find an object, supposedly Force-sensitive, for some reason or another. They proceed to go blinking all over creation looking for it, and finally run into a trade-off between a disreputable pirate and, surprise surprise, Durei from Adventure 7, The Eye of Malduran. They kill Durei, nab the Relic, and ride off into the sunset.
Interesting moments: There was a well-done, cool shootout at the palace of a pirate lord.
Durei, with hatred twisting his face, ignited his lightsaber and charged Torill... but was promptly beaned between the eyes with a blaster shot from Ramses.
-In perhaps the most relevant interesting moment of the campaign (and, ironically enough, the one we forgot when first writing this :P), the 'Tan is chased by Tie Interceptors. Tu'ebb makes an on-the-fly engine modification (soon to be known as the S.O.B.) which pushes them ahead... until the Interceptors catch up. Torill pulls a hard brake, and the fighters shoot past him... and come back...
Quotes: (Sarcastically) "Gee, thanks Ramses." -Torill, after Ramses killed Durei with one shot
-"Huh? What? What's goin on? I don't understand."
-Sean, at many points throughout the adventure

Adventure 15: Trouble in Paradise, or A Three Hour Tour
Characters Involved: Torill, Tu'ebb
Overview: Torill and Tu'ebb, with credits up the wazoo, decide to blow some of it by vacationing at the Ace of Sabers casino and resort. Upon arriving, they immediately settle in, Torill to a game of Sabbac and Tu'ebb to a game of Virtual Rancor Hunting. After enjoying himself immensely, Torill also sets out on a tour into the lush forest, the only other passenger being the Shivasten buisnessman, Mal Biron and a noble. However, upon arriving, the guides turn into attempted assasins, wounding the noble. Torill and Mal manage to drive them off, and make their way back to civilization with the injured man, avoiding their traps.
Interesting Moments: In a bit of irony, a few considerably drunk patrons of Torill's Sabbac game begin a round of taunting, calling fellow player Kalend Thora a "Sunnie" (as in, Black Sun Operative).
-Tu'ebb tries his hand at Virtual Rancor Hunting on Easy mode, only to kill rancors left and right. Then, he turns it to hard and gets torn to virtual shreds.
-Torill has a talkative encouter with a blue-haired dancer girl, his only reward being a red hand-shaped mark on his face. This is the first, but definetly not last, encounter with the now legendary "Blue Haired Girl".
Notes: The "Blue Haired Girl," for you otakus out there, is modeled after Sailor Mercury, from Sailor Moon.
