• Airframe by Michael Crichton
• Lucky You by Carl Hiaasen
• The Priest and The Sub by Thomas M. Disch
• Corruption and The Uncanny by Andrew Klavan
• Fear by L. Ron Hubbard
• Millennium and The Ophiuchi Hotline by John Varley

These are good authors for the most part. I just didn't like these books very much.
