Quake has to be one of the best games created, period! The Quake game engine, which has been licensed out to other computer gaming companies, is so versitile that it has endless posibilties on all sorts of game modifications (called "mods"). These Quake "mods" have given it an even longer 'life' over the interent while millions of online players have enjoyed "Capture the Flag", "Team-Fortress", "Quake Rally", "Quake Bots", the ever so creative "Grappling Hook", etc!

good action shot ouch..that's gotta hurt
Yuck!! someone's spleen? grenade on your back

Anyone who enjoys a fast-paced game with lots of action, and who doesn't mind a little gore should definately check out this game by ID Software! If you are a console game player used to those 2D games like Mortal Kombat,et al, (and you know who you are) you need to upgrade that computer in your garage and get all the RAM you can afford (it's cheap now-a-days), and purchase Quake. After you've practiced on single-player some and can whoop the enforcers, shamblers, and hell-knights, then your next step is to get a good ISP (internet service provider, and NOT AOL) and then join a good multiplayer deathmatch (dm) game. DM'ing over the 'net......ahhhh--there's nothing like it!! Except for the *%&#@^% lag, but what's a guy to do, right?? heheh!! Now that I have high speed cable modem access, I'm doing much better.....I think!! LOL

About me......
My name is Jeff (quake player name: onedead) and I live in North Carolina with my 5 year old son Tyler. I work in the airline business and enjoy almost anything dealing with computers. Although I'm probably considered a novice to the computer world, I think I've learned a good bit! About three (6) years ago my ex-wife, Kim and I purchased our first "advanced" computer, which was a top-of-the-line model. It was a p200 mhz with 2.1 gig hd, 16x cd-rom, 56k modem, and an internal scanner. That was my first look at this so-called Windows95 program that was supposed to revolutionize the computer industry!! Well, I knew after just a few days that I had to know more.....and more.......and EVEN more. During the months that followed, I read everything I could get my hands on about computers, even if I couldn't follow all those complicated computer/geeky terms!! Who would have guessed that today I have my web page up, about three (3) Quake levels (one available
here) that I designed by myself, with more on the way, when I have the time.

Victim of Chernobyl Virus
I'm sorry to say but this "future" quake level you see here has been wiped out from my hard drive, due to the Chernobyl virus (1999)!! Yes, that's right, it nuked me on that anniversary date too. I've learned to BACKUP all my editing now!! Hours of work just gone in a second, amazing.....AAARRRGGG!! :))

***Please feel free to look around this site, and email me if you have any suggestions as to some different things I could change on my pages, etc. I hope you like my dedication to Quake, and I also want to encourage you to visit my son's page here! Thanks for stopping by!!

Here's just a sample of Half-LIfe, by Valve! Check out these "interactive" characters!!
