Averi sighed as she pulled her bably blue sweater over her head. She was getting ready for yet another day at work. Averi had just graduted with a docrtate in child psychology. Averi loved her work, but just wasn't up to it that day. Lately she had felt as if there was something missing in her life. Maybe it was the fact that she was 26 years old and was just begining her career. Yeah right ,she thought, Its because I'm 26 without a man. All of Averi's friends claimed she was too picky.
"I'm not picky. I have high standards. I need a man who puts others needs before his own. He needs to be intelligent. He needs to be funny and sweet. He needs to be responsible and organized, but not so responsible and organized that he can't let loose and have fun. Ok, maybe I am picky," Averi muttered to herself.
Averi stepped into her bathroom and brushed her hair. She pulled the sides up with small flower clips that sparkeled slightly. She applied light makeup and looked at herself in the mirror. She smiled as she did a once over of her appearance.
I'm going to meed the man of my dreams. He's gonna love me. We're going to get married and have a family. Averi reassured herself. She turned off the light in her bathroom. She walked into the kitchen and grabbed her purse and left her appartment making sure to lock the door. She climbed into her Jeep Grand Cherokee and stArted towards her office daydreaming of her future husbund.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~"Kevin, try singing it with more emotion, put your heart into it." The producer said through the intercom.
"I'll try Jeff."Kevin sighed. "I don't think I know what love is anymore. I'm pathetic, I haven't had a serious girlfriend in three years," Kevin muttered to himself.
Kevin's cousin Brian overheard him say this.
"Kevin you need a girlfrien man. You're a successful guy. You have everything you could possibly want, except a girl. The thing is man, we've all tried to help you. Hell, even Nick has tried and we all know how self-centered he is."
Kevin laghed at this statement.
"Maybe if you stop looking you'll find it."
With that Brian turned back to the producer and nodded his head. Jeff restarted the music. Brian and Kevin started singing again. This time Kevin sang with more passion. He hoped that he would find the women for him. Soon too.
