Sweet Sugar POP
The opening song says it best: "Simple songs about cars and girls and beach and summertime." Sweet Sugar Pop, our latest recording, is an unabashed tribute to the time-tested sounds of pop. The unifying themes here are catchy melodies with easy-to-follow lyrics that aren’t meant to spoil anyone’s day. Basically music for the sake of good times. The fifteen original songs on Sweet Sugar Pop create a collage of sounds and textures, from straight-ahead rock and roll ("Ramblin’", "Under the Influence of f"), to soulful funk ("Chinese Food", "Bar Fly"); from danceable guitar pop ("Rough and Tumble", "Preach Reality") to the droning psychedelic climax of "Bodycast". And true to the words of the title track, most of the songs stay close to the topics of cars, girls, the beach and summertime.

Sweet Sugar Pop was painstakingly recorded over the span of ten months (Greg likes to brag that he was done in two days), beginning in November 1997. Production credits go once again to our friend Alec Lytle, who recorded and mixed us to both ADAT and ProTools in his home studio. Those of you familiar with our music may find a few surprises here, including appearances by the Grinning Idiots Horns ("Chinese Food", "Piano Chickering"), bagpipes ("Out in the Avenues") and even a song with our drummer Greg on lead vocals ("Yes"). And of course Brad Zell on congas.

Stokin' the Hive
Recorded in 1995, Stokin’ the Hive was the product of a year-long creative outburst fueled by three years of backlogged song ideas (we were on hiatus you see) and a steady flow of club performances. The songs were recorded digitally onto ADAT and mixed over a period of five months by KC Bowman at Timber Trout Studios. Shortly after the CD's release, "JFK" was featured on KFOG's Local Anesthetic show.

Who's Gittin' Dave?
Who's Gittin' Dave?
This four-track recording from 1991 is a collection of songs—both originals and covers—from our early years of playing around the San Luis Obispo area. With friends Alec Lytle and Brad Zell at the controls, we completed this low-budget recording in a garage during what was supposed to be our final week together as a band. Who’s Gittin Dave? was only available on cassette and unfortunately is no longer in print (unless you really really want it, then maybe we can scrounge you up a copy for you).
