NEWS!! (updates whenever)

6/15/98 - I finally received the Australian CD Single for Walk Away from CDNow. Due to computer problems, I cannot yet post wav's or mpeg's of the 2 acoustic tracks, but I will post them on our CD Tracks page as soon as possible.
One more item that is not related to Cool For August, but is about music and might interest some. I recently felt compelled to create a website for all of us who despise the work of Puff Daddy. 5/21/98 - The final show for CFA's current tour will be May 30th in Atlanta, as you all know. They will share the bill with Cheap Trick, Georgia Satellites (no, they're not dead yet), and some lesser-known local bands. After that show, the band will take some time off and will later enter the studio to record their SECOND ALBUM. At this point they have no idea as to what the album or tracks will be called.
- - - also, CFA by IFA was named Canadian Rock Ring Site of the Month, less than a week after it joined the ring. We here at CFA by IFA rejoice greatly.

5/12/98 - For those of you who haven't kept up on the official CFA message board at their Warner Bros. site, Gordon has been well for a while now. He played one show somewhat weakened and plans to wrap up the tour as scheduled in Atlanta on May 30th. ***Landmark Moment*** CFA by IFA is now a featured page in Geocities' SunsetStrip Featured Page program! This means more exposure for Cool For August among other things. Speaking of more exposure, you may notice on the welcome page (index.html) that I have at least applied to join the Canadian Rock Webring -- that should spread the word of CFA even more. We here are happy and optimistic!

5/5/98 - According to Shane Hills, CFA's drummer, in a recent email, Gordon Vaughn was hospitalized for a fever in addition to his bronchitis. Shane is optimistic about Gordon's quick recovery and apologizes to the CFA fans in Sarasota. This emergency was totally unforeseen.

5/2/98 - According to 107.9 WYNF Sarasota, Gordon Vaughn is currently in an Atlanta hospital. No reason was given. The rest of the band is in Atlanta with him as of Saturday, May 2nd. CFA canceled their Sarasota show because of this (they were replaced on the program by Firehouse). For all of you who were expecting new photos and interviews from the show, I apologize. Please continue to visit for updated info on this and other news.

4/26/98 - (1) High quality MPEG-3's of every song on Grand World are now in CD Tracks. (2) CFA publicity photos are now in Visual Media. (3) Also, our Webring page is now up and running. Our ring stands at 7 member sites as of today!

4/23/98 - On May 2nd, one of our staff members will interview Cool For August at their show in Sarasota, FL. We hope to have articles and/or transcripts posted around May 9th. Also, we made a slight format change to CFA by IFA. We have still more work to do on it.
