"Showtime, SYNERGY!"

As the oldest daughter of singing sensation, Jacqui Benton, and computer genious, Emmet Benton, Jerrica Benton is no stranger to responsiblity. She not only had two other foster sisters in Shana and Aja, but her own younger sister, Kimber Benton. Jerrica always had a caretaking instinct and responsible attitude toward her sister and her friends.
Upon the death of her parents, it was this sense of responsibility that led Jerrica to take over the foster home established by her mother, Starlight House and eventually, Starlight Music.
She soon found out that her partner in Starlight Music was untrustworthy, to say the least. Eric Raymond had constructed a musical group that he could control and use to gain full partnership in Starlight.
Jerrica found a pair of earrings left to her by her father after his death. Upon closer examination of the jewelry, she found they were special. They were, as she later found out, hologram projectors. The super computer, Synergy, revealed herself to Jerrica and the others and explained that Emmet had created her to help mankind and that if the secrets he had built into her fell into the wrong hands, the result could be disasterous.
At Starlight Drive-in, Jerrica and her friends found a huge supply of musical equipment and gorgeous clothes. Kimber, Shana and Aja formed a group named the Holograms and Jerrica created an alter ego for herself to front the band. This alter ego was a pink-haired diva with a voice and moves to dazzle everyone who saw her.
JEM was born that day. Her image sprang from Jerrica's imagination with the help of the fabulous computer, Synergy. The singing voice, however, was pure JERRICA.
No one but the other Holograms and the President of the United States knows Jerrica's secret. Not even Rio Pacheco knows that his childhood sweetheart and the truly outrageous Jem are one and the same!
