The pink-tressed darling of the stage is showcased here, along with her...dare I say it ...OUTRAGEOUS quartet, the Holograms!Jerrica Benton, manager and record company owner, was the daughter of brilliant scientist, Emmet Benton and singing sensation, Jacqui Benton. After the death of her mother, little Jerrica and her sister, Kimber, were all that Emmet had. His daughters and his work became his life. In his work with holographic technology, he created the perfect union of technology and music with the fabulous super-computer, Syngergy! Capable of creating and projecting holograms so lifelike to fool even the sharpest eye, Synergy was truly a technological miracle. Before it could be utilized, however, Emmet Benton was taken away from his work and his daughters due to his untimely death from cancer. Left with the responsiblity of both his company, Starlight Music and the foster home for girls, Starlight House, Jerrica hit upon the idea of using Synergy and a special pair of earrings created by her father, to create another identity...that of the superstar JEM! JEM and the Holograms consisted of Aja Leith, a friend of Jerrica and former foster girl, Shana Elmsferg a gifted designer and foster girl, also, and Kimber. When Shana left temporarily, the budding drummer, Raya Carmen Alonso took up the sticks! Soon, the band grew in popularity. Before they knew it, JEM and the Holograms were the hottest thing on the music scene!! Their flash and glitter, glamour and fame were reaching orbital proportions thanks to the road managing of Rio Pachecho, Jerrica's long-time boyfriend, the beautiful choreography of Danse, the video marvel, Vivian "Video" Montgomery, director Anthony Julian, video hostess, Lindsey Pierce, and the marvelous SYNERGY!
But, that success is constantly threatened by their rival bands the Misfits and the Stingers!
