"Preparing For Battle...." April 19, 2000

Midnight...

....and tomorrow, Alyx starts his first chemotherapy session. His spirits are good, he is optimistic, and tremendously eager to get this stage of his life out of the way.

Lowlandz and I decided a night out on the town was in order, so we took Alyx to play pool and drink beer. It is the closest thing to pillaging we could come up with in this contemporary society, but not too different, I suppose, from the simpler times, when the enemy was an invading society and not disease.

Our spirits are with you, Alyx.....
