Where Are My Lost Knights?

So dark is the world to my eyes.
I look around me and see but shadows,

drifting, moving.
And yet even they run from me.

Am I so horrible to the sight?
With long chocolate coloured hair,

And sad gray eyes, that have seen too much.
Glasses hide my thin tear stained face,

And my form is too weak, to fight the darkness.
My smile, is forever saddened.

Where are my knights?

The clown, my brother,
who can make me laugh and cry.

Where is my wizard?
Who seems so wise to my eyes.
And so peaceful, he could never hurt a fly.

My redheaded leprechaun.
Who was my daisy-picker, and enemy.
And again is my trusting friend.

Where is my fighter?
He who stands proudly.
And dreams of the Spice Girls.

Where did they go?
Why do they hide from me?

And when will they come back.
I wait for an answer.

I look for a bright light.
But still I sit in shadows.
