Genso Maden Saiyuki

Who doesn't like a good journey? While this is a story based on the Chinese story translated as "Journey to the West". It's basically about a buddhist priest, Sanzo, traveling to India to get Buddhist knowledge, the Sutra-s. However, the animated version twists the story slightly and adds things like demons and gods all of which are trying to steal Sanzo's sutra.

The main characters are Sanzo, Goku, Hakkai, and Goyjo (he's my favorite.... long hair does it for me every time... sigh!)
