Raycone Operating Systems

Raycone Operating Systems was previously known as DoubleSoft. DoubleSoft was founded in 1989 as an unprofitable programming virtual company (I was 10). My first programs were for the ZX80 processor - mainly games. After 3 years I jumped onto the PC platform - database applications, anti-viruses, compilers, etc. After about 2 years I decided to develop a new operating system - ThorOS. I have been (am, and still will be) searching for information necessary for its development. A part of the kernel has already been developed. DoubleSoft was renamed to Raycone Operating Systems on December 28, 1997, because the internet domain DOUBLESOFT.COM was already in use and I planned to create my own domain.

Well, as I got older and came into situation, when I realized that developing a new operating system is really cool but you still have to earn money. So I suspended the ThorOS project. I may get back to it some time later but you really should not count on it. I did establish the "Raycone" company, did create a website for it at www.raycone.com but it is not about ThorOS any more. I develop web construction software for BeOS operating system.

Interests

Please note that all the data on this website reflect the state of me and my projects about the year 1998 or 1999. I didn't and probably won't update the website any more. The only thing I updated is the paragraph above to reflect the run of time how everyone gets older.

Computers

I am a software developer and a programmer. I am interested in programming from hardware-level (assembler) to object oriented programming, operating systems, processors, super servers and almost all hardware (except printers, plotters and networks).

Films

I especially like sci-fi. My favorite films are Star Wars and the X-Files.

Dance

My favorite sport is dancing. I enjoy standard (polka, waltz, tango, etc.) and Latin-American (cha-cha, jive etc.) dances.

School

I finished Masaryk's Business Academy in Jicin last year. I liked this school, but I really wasn't very satisfied with the level of English taught there. I had to learn all that I know myself as a self-taught person. However, in general this school is relatively good.

Now I am studying English at a Language school in Jicin. We have perfect English teachers, which is really good.
