Usually every year I organize a QL meeting in Italy which
is attended by the most important European QL dealers. In
1996 it was attended by Stuart Honeyball (UK) of Miracle
Systems, Jochen Merz (GERMANY) of Jochen Merz
Software, Albin Hessler (GERMANY) author of DISA and
CUESHELL, Zeljko Nastasic (CROATIA) representing Qubbesoft,
Tony Firshman (UK) of TF Services. Italian guest was the QItaly
club team (Italian club supporting the Sinclair QL).
The meeting was held on
Sunday, 20th October 1996
c/o Sala Congressi Circoscrizione 2 Via
Fratelli Cervi 70 Pieve Modolena, Reggio Emilia
ITALY
There were a lot of things to see:
- The long awaited Aurora graphic card which
has replaced the QL motherboard allowing higher
resolution and more colours. (by Zeljko Nastasic,
Croatia - Qubbesoft)
- QPC, QL software emulator for MS DOS running
SMSQ/E (by Jochen Merz, Germany)
- QXL2, the original QXL but slightly faster (by
Miracle Systems, UK)
- SuperHERMES, fast serial port, PC keyboard
interface, mouse port and much more (by Tony
Firshman, UK)
- MAC QeMulator with new features (by Daniele
Terdina, Italy)
- Z88 portable computer (Bill Richardson, UK)
- and more...
A map of Reggio explaining how to get to the meeting by
car can be seen by clicking
here. If you need any info about trains,
accomodations and so on in English send me an E-mail.
The meeting is usually attended by the most important QL
dealers and the next meeting will be probably held around
September 1998 so why not join us? You can get the best
food in the world, have great fun and much much more! In
the past we had many guests from all over the world:
Franz Hermann from Germany, Simon Goodwin from UK (author
of Supercharge, Turbo and a lot of public domain
software) just to say two :-)
