You've got it! His name is Louis. Louis likes to paint. He is very good on math. But we are going to talk about his other stories. Louis went to Sheffield, England when he was nine and he had a very good friend who's name was Ang. Ang was one year younger than Louis and he went to England when he was four, so Ang could speak fluent English. With exception of English, Louis was very good on many other subjects. His Chinese, math and art were all better than Ang's. So Louis studied English very hard and tried to catch up. One day Ang came to my house together with his mother. While Louis and Ang were playing in one room, Ang's mother chatted with my wife about her stories of being pregnant. At the time of the chatting, she was about to give birth to her second baby. She said to my wife that when she was about three months' pregnant, her stomach did not show at all. So she was worried and went to see the doctor. The doctor suggested her to eat as much as possible and eat whatever she liked. So her belly became very obvious when she was four months' pregnant. Nobody noticed that when Louis was playing with Ang, he became more and more interested in the chatting in the other room. Realizing that he was going to loose marks to Ang even if he did study English very hard since Ang was now going to have a baby brother, Louis was very quiet later on. Over Christmas, Louis said to my wife: "Mom, why don't you eat a lot, so you can give birth to a baby brother for me?" Thanks God, he did not ask me to do that! I can never understand why Louis loves animals more than he loves me and his mother. He sleeps with animals, toys of course. He fills his bubbling water with animals when he is having a bath. He paints animals. Everywhere he goes, he says to me that he wants to go to the zoo. Sometimes I feel that he really means to live there. So I had a talk with him the other day. I said to him, "You must understand animals very well since you love animals so much". He said, "Of course I do". I asked him whether he understands that most animals stay with their parents for less than one year. He said, "I know that better than you do". Then I asked him whether it is fair for him to stay with his parents for more than ten years. He quickly explained, "Young elephants can stay with their parents for quite a few years!" He always has a quick answer and I can never win. Other jokes |
