With time I was more and more into this stuff, I bought more CD's and finally, sometime in the Spring of 1997 some friends of mine found out about this rave party. We all went and .. the same thing happened again. From one room to another, there were smiles everywhere, people smiling at you if you caught their sight, weird clothes, lasers, pounding bass and screens with psychodelic movies displayed on them. Dancing to this rythm ripping through everyone's bodies was all I needed.. I got mesmerised, hypnotised, I wanted to laugh, and dance, and dance, and dance more.. :))

And so it begun. :) We went to more and more parties, saw more dj's, went to different locations around Toronto, and a few times further away. There were worse, and better ones, short and long, boring, and just incredibly wild. I think it depends on a person's mood and general attitude. And other things as well, I'm sure you know, maybe I'll mention about THAT somewhere else on this page.
Besides having amazing fun, those parties are very tiring. Sometimes music can be too loud, or you might just happen to be standing 2 feet from the speaker.. obviously your hearing does not get better. There were times when I had trouble hearing anything for a good few hours after, and sometimes longer. You don't sleep on those Saturday nights. Usually the crowd thickens around midnight-2am and reaches its peak at 3am. The earliest I've left was 3am, the latest 9:30am .. and with your legs hurting so much you can hardly walk, and a constant buzz in your ears catching 2-3 hours of sleep is kinda difficult. Of course, you get in shape too.. bouncing around for 8 hours does make you loose some weight, mostly due to dehydration, but surprisingly, the more you go, the less tired you are.. and my legs don't hurt anymore, and the noise - I read somewhere it doesn't damage your ears if you like it. And I love this thing. ... :)
