We have seen the growth of the personal computer from the 8086 to the present day of the PII 450 Xenon. This section will tell you; the end user what sort of computer system that you require (often very different than what you want) but nevertheless what you want is usually going to be the deciding factor. A Personal Friend of mine runs a computer store in which I do much consulting for, in system design, network design, system building and configuration. As of the end of 98 begining of 99 we have decided that most users are purchasing, or wanting to purchase, a PII 333+ system or an equivalent AMD K6-2 333 3DNow system. These systems are greatly variant in prices! mostly due to the differences in the construction of the CPU's and the type of mainboard that each requires. Each day brings us new technology, and faster systems; in smaller packages. I guess we will see the day when the wrist watch super computer comes to light. |
