Fruit Sherbet
1 3oz package strawberry gelatin 1/2 cup boiling water 1 tablespoon lemon juice 1 20-oz can pineapple chunks in juice, do not drain 1 ripe banana 1 10-oz package frozen, sweetened strawberries in quick thaw pouch
1. Combine gelatin and boiling water in glass measuring cup. Stir with mixing spoon until gelatin is dissolved. 2. Pour into electric blender. Add lemon juice and pineapple chunks with their juice. Peel banana and cut into chunks with a table knife. Add to blender. 3. Put lid on blender. turn on high speed. Blend ingredients until they are liquefied, about 45 seconds. Turn off blender. 4. Pour mixture into 9 x 13 baking pan. 5. Put in freezer, freeze uncovered for 2 or 3 hours, or until mixture is firm. 6. Defrost strawberries in pouch according to directions. 7. Remove sherbet from freezer 15 minutes before serving to soften slightly. Scoop sherbet into dessert dish, top with strawberries, serve immediately.
Variation: You can use this recipe to make individual fruit pops. Use the same ingredients, except leave off the strawberries. Stop after step 3 and pour mixture into plastic "popsicle" containers or use paper cups. When almost frozen, place a stick in the middle of each pop. Then feeze until firm (about 2 or 3 hours).

Rosy Cinnamon Applesauce
1 24 oz jar unsweetened applesauce 1 tablespoon cinnamon "red-hot" candies 1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1. Combine applesauce, candies, and cinnamon in medium saucepan. 2. Stir applesauce mixture with wooden spoon over medium heat for 3 minutes. 3. Remove from heat, let stand until slightly cool. Serve applesauce warm, or cover and refrigerate and serve chilled.
Serves 5, 1/2 cup servings |

Crazy Cupcake Cones Great for Birthday parties or school treats!
1 box cake mix 24 flat bottomed ice cream cones Sprinkles
1. Follow instructions on the back of the cake mix to make batter 2. Wrap foil around base of cone and place in ungreased muffin tins 3. Fill cones between 1/2 and 3/4 full. Do not over fill or it may bake over the sides 4. Place cones in 350 degree oven for 25 - 30 minutes 5. When cones are completly cool, ice and sprinkle with sprinkles.
These are best when cook and eaten the same day! |

Wacky Cake
1 1/2 cups flour 1 cup sugar 3 tablespoons cocoa 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon baking soda 1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon vanilla 1 tablespoon vinegar 5 tablespoon melted butter 1 cup water |

Mix all dry ingredients in a 8 x 8 ungreased pan. Stir ingredients until well blended. Make three holes: add vanilla to one hole add vinegar to second hole add melted butter to the third hole Add 1 cup of water. Stir with fork until well blended. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes. When cool frost with icing.
