Manjusri (Wen Shu Shi Li in Chinese; Jampal Yang in Tibetan; Monju
in Japanese),
Bodhisattva of Wisdom. He holds the flaming sword of wisdom in
his
right hand (for cutting through ignorance). On his left hand, he
holds
the stem of a lotus blossom bearing the Prajnaparamita Sutra (The
Perfection
of Wisdom scripture). His earthly abode is on Wutai Mountain, in
China's Shanxi Province.
