Ask Jeeves
One of the most useful web sites I have found for finding things!
This site allows the user to type questions in plain english, then it will search several of the major search engines to come back with an answer to your question.  I personally give Ask Jeeves a 5 star rating!

Of course, you have the regular search engines that are also useful...

Yahoo! | Excite | WebCrawler | Infoseek | Magellan
Lycos | InfoSpace | The Switchboard
Internet Address Finder
