TORONTO TRIP "99"
A WORD FROM OUR SPONSOR
Everybody was excited about this trip, and who could
blame them? Although it took a lot of energy to go to bed
at 12:00 and get up at 6:00, we all managed, and had fun in the process! Hopefully, next year we'll have a group of kids as well behaved as this one! Enjoy the web page!

Welcome to the cn tower (one of the main sites visited by the kids from our school.) Inside is where you can find the now famous glass floor. Each panel of the glass floor is 42" by 50" and is made of 3/16" scuff plate, two 1/2" tempered glass, one inch layer of air and two 1/4" layers of tempered glass.Tests are performed annually to test the pressure of each panel.

Another great place visited by our school was the Toronto zoo.The level two students enjoyed seeing ,lions, tigers and polar bears, not to mention various other animals and fossils. They especially enjoyed the -adopt-an-animal idea.Speaking from past experience adopting an animal is a very unique and moving expierence. This years students adopted the wolf because that is the school mascot.

 THE EATON CENTER
Another place that was  interesting was the Eaton Center.Seen on the left is one of the many views one might get standing on the various floors (and believe me there are many of them!!) Among the hundreds of thousands of stores  one might find movie theaters, arcades and even a hotel! (Most of the students did their shopping here obviously!)

Niagara Falls

Niagara Falls was one of the most exciting places that you
could visit in Canada! While we were in the tunnels behind the falls, we were given ponchos because we were destined to get wet! There is also a ferry ride that you can take that goes directly beside the falls, but when we went we were not able to take it because of the bad weather. For more info visit our sub page at The falls.

Toronto Theaters

While in Toronto the students enjoyed the marvelous theaters (and there are many) and the extraordinary plays it had to offer. This years students enjoyed The Phantom of the Opera. One of the great things about the play is the fact that the play mixes in opera, broadway and a story. The play deals with a young striving opera singer that takes the back seat to the more experienced singer. When the young singer(christine)  does get a chance to perform in a leading role the Phantom is drawn at once and then the exciting plot begins....
