Academic Policies |
The elementary school curriculum provides for the development of knowledge, skills and understanding in the areas of reading, language arts, social science, spelling, mathematics, science, art, music, health, library skills, computer education, and physical education. Arabic will be taught to elementary students in grades 3-5 as an extension of the regular school day. An additional fee will be charged for this course. The school will assume all responsibility for the teacher, materials and the curriculum of the course. Basic classroom instruction is supplemented by an ESL program. Textbooks and materials are imported from the United States. Methods and techniques of instruction reflect current developments in U.S. educational practices. The 6th, 7th and 8th grades also follow an American curriculum. The following are courses taught in the middle school.
High School Graduation Requirements: The High School offers an American College Preparatory style curriculum with the following credits required for graduation:
One year of Fine Arts is required beginning with the class of 2000.
