Dark Side

This song was to be the 'hit' side of The Reason Why's 1969 release (re: Today is Here). It was recorded in Phoenix for Copperstate Records. Only a handful of copies were pressed for distribution to several radio stations in the Tucson area. The band 'disbanded' before any major marketing was done. Thus, it is has become only one of many fond memories of that era of my life. I post the song to rekindle those memories in any friends who may have forgotten those times and for some family members who have wanted to hear the song the Beatles turned down :-)

I've left the song 'untouched' for now. It needs some enhancement to bring it up to today's recording standards -- and some scratches may be heard in this pre-CD recording. I hope to polish it up at some future date. The song is about 2.38 megs and takes a good 5-10 minutes to download with a 56k modem. If you have a cable modem you could let the browser immediately play it without saving to disk since it would only take seconds to to access at that speed. Otherwise I suggest to have time to waste before downloading it on disk for playing. Netscape and IE (4.0 and higher) can open the file using their respective plugins. The file is in .wav format.
