Debugging CodeWarrior Win32 Projects

Remotely with VirtualPC

CodeWarrior Setup on Host Machine: continued

There are several steps to configuring CodeWarrior on the host machine.

  • Setup the Remote Debugging preferences

Choose the "YourProjectTargetName Settings…" item from the Edit menu.

CW TidyConsole Prefs menu

Enable the "Remote Debugging" checkbox, and choose a previously created Remote Connection from the popup menu.

It is recommended that you set up a separate directory on the target machine (perhaps a MS Windows directory) to hold the program and other debugging items. Otherwise by default, the program and other debugging items are likely to appear on the MS Windows Desktop, which may not be what you want. Specify the target directory using the "Remote download path" field, using a MS DOS/Windows naming scheme.

Save all changes.
