The knife handle has been hand-crafted from the most revered of all Victorian timbers, "Blackwood", by reknowed craftsman Ivan Wilcken

Blackwood is a wattle (Acacia melanoxylon), and is anything but black. Its extraordinary beauty was used in the early days of Australian history by fine cabinet makers.
