To see the streams within Chatswood West capable of supporting aquatic ecosystems (including large vertebrates) secondary contact recreation and high visual amenity.
To regularly monitor the main streams within Chatswood West Ward with a view of identifying water quality conditions which may require remedial action.

Whilst we have not yet fully established consistent and reliable test results the following preliminary comments are made:
Lower Blue Gum creek is tending towards
low 6.0 or less pH.
Initial faecal coliform readings are higher than desired.
