Using Essential Oils


Using essential oils is truly an art. Proper mixing of the
oils produce different effects.

I am never far away from my tiny tartan sachet of lavender blossoms.
If not in the sachet that I wear next to my heart, I will have
a few drops of lavender oil in my amphora necklace.

A Basic Guide To Essential Oils And Their Uses

Listed here are the mental or emotional symptoms and the
recommended oil for that symptom. Use the oils in a bath,
inhalation, room fragrance or massage. When using
any essential oil in massage, it is necessary that you mix it with
a 'carrier' or 'neutral' oil before applying. One tablespoon of
a carrier oil mixed with 5 - 10 drops of your
selected oil is usually sufficient.

Carrier Oils

My own favourite carrier oils are Almond, Jojoba, Avocado,
or Groundnut. Do not use Mineral oil as this is a
petroleum based product. We want to remain all natural here
