St James AME Federal Credit Union (FCU) is open to all members of the St James AME Church or an immediate family member of someone who belongs to the St James AME Church. Family members must reside in the same household of the church member. Former FCU members can be re-instated if they currently do not have any outstanding debts with the credit union.

The membership fee is $1.00 plus $25.00 for the purchase of one share. A completed Member Application Form with the $26.00 is required. (See the link below for this form).

All accounts must maintain a minimum balance of $100.00. Any account that falls below the minimum balance for a one month period will be charged a service fee of $4.00 per month for each month the balance is below the minimum. New members have six(6) months from the date of joining to bring their account up to the minimum balance.

The minimum balance requirement is waived for children, youths (up to age 18), senior citizens and anyone who currently participates in the payroll deduction program offered through the credit union. Although the service fee is waived for members under these classifications, we strongly urge members to save and bring their accounts to the minimum balance in a timely manner.

Obtain and complete a Member Application Form from the Credit Union office.

Your deposits at St. James AME Federal Credit Union are insured by the federal National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) for up to $100,000.
