St James AME Federal Credit Union (FCU) is headquartered inside of St James AME Church with a branch office at Mt Teman AME Church in Elizabeth, NJ.

There are approximately 900 members from St James AME and Mt Teman AME church congregations and the St James Preparatory School.

St. James AME Federal Credit Union plans to expand its field-of-membership to include sister Churches in the AME Church Newark District.
