Environment techonology

Environment technology is a field which is covering a lot of subjects. It is about both earth, water and air and can get you jobs in both the public sector and private companys. There are some measuring and analyzing methods to learn, some legislation and some politics in the environment technology. You will learn about biotopes and the living creatures, about pollution and cleaning the waters, and all kind of other stuff. Especially about work environments and rules for approval of the way the companys produce.

Most of the people, who choose this education are trained laboratory technicians, who see this as their next career move, but you can also be a mechanic or have found out that a civil enginnering study is too boring, or something completely different. Work experience is an advantage.

In Denmark there are two schools that train environment technologists, Teknisk Skole Slagelse and Teknisk Skole Esbjerg (Teknisk Skole is danish for Technical College). Teknisk Skole Frederikshavn has just stopped educating them. It takes 1.5 years, and at the moment new classes start every second term.
